According to World Atlas these are the most dangerous US cities . . this is without Public Aid being cut, an EMP . . . so we know it could get way worse . . and, as I looked at areas safe to live, I would add a 20+ mile radius as most adults can walk 20 miles/day . . in a disaster hordes people seeking food and shelter will radiate out of these crime-ridden areas . .
