Romans 9:1-14 1¶I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,
2That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart.
3For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh:
4Who are Israelites; to whompertaineththe adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the serviceof God, and the promises;
5Whosearethe fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christcame, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
6¶Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For theyarenot all Israel, which are of Israel:
7Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham,are theyall children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
8That is, They which are the children of the flesh, thesearenot the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
9For thisisthe word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son.
10¶And not onlythis; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one,evenby our father Isaac;
11(Forthe childrenbeing not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
12It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
13As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14¶What shall we say then?Is thereunrighteousness with God? God forbid.
Hey there! How are you? Hoping you’re blessed and all is well!! I wanted to share a Bible study I did yesterday. I like to watch Evangelist Gabriel Fernandez and found the video in this link reaffirmed my knowledge that He uses those of us who are imperfect. Imagine if God hadn’t used David . . if had not become king . . because he was imperfect!! What if God had said, “How am I supposed to use you??! Look at your past!”?? I am so grateful God looks at our hearts and not a show we put on to impress others with how holy we are. I know that, if I had to put on a whole huge exuberant show I would fail. That’s not me. I seek quietly. . praise Him and pray as I work and usually only God notices. . fortunately He sees my heart and the simple quiet things I do for others that I do not broadcast publicly.
4That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
5¶And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocritesare: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
