Hey, good morning. Just a quick update post. I’ve not been feeling well the last couple weeks. Nothing to be alarmed at . . just ear aches, stuffy head, coughing and now, sneezing. So I’ve been exhausted. Funny (not) how all this starts right when I cut back my hours. π I should be more rested and full of energy, not wanting to spend more quality time with my pillow!! But, this is how it is right now. . and I will cope . . just not with as much energy and fun as normal . . I find myself stretching and looking around for good places to curl up at random times!! LOL π΄
π So . . since the apple cider vinegar challenge has been really good {I’ve gotten smaller as in my tight clothing is now loose and comfy!!!!} but still need more. My intension months ago was to completely detox and build back up each organ in our bodies. This does NOT mean we are going all organic or vegan or anything like that. It does mean that I realize some of the places we’ve lived have been less than healthy and we need to flush any toxins from our systems.
For a couple months Matt and I both took milkweed supplements to detox and strengthen our livers. Having lived in old buildings I know the plumbing was old, there was asbestos, etc. . . and then my years as a hairdresser doing perms, relaxers and hair color . . . . and I’ve seen firsthand the tragic way a liver shuts down and all the toxins back up into the brain. I am not going to risk that!! Now, I’m sure the level of toxins we’ve been exposed to was minor compared to the sweet person I watched suffer, but I’m taking no chances. Honestly I could feel a difference after taking the milk thistle. It was definitely worth it.
Now I am simply trying to get in better shape (ie: slimmer) before I do more organ-specific detox/repair. Like I said, the apple cider vinegar has been a real help. I had been doing 1 cap vinegar to 6 oz water at bedtime and that helped a tiny bit. Now I do 2 caps vinegar, 2 caps unfiltered raw honey, 6 oz apple juice and fill rest of 16 oz bottle with water then shake well.
I prefer to drink whole bottle before breakfast or coffee.
It is actually quite yummy! π
So . . this morning I am doing the sea salt flush . .
32 oz warm water mixed with 2 tsp sea salt . . . that’s a lot of water in a sitting . . my cup wasn’t even full and I still couldn’t finish it.
waiting.to.see.what.happens.
Meanwhile Manicotti was snuggling me this morning. Then he wandered away . . to check on Matt? Get a bite to eat?
When he came back he jumped up on my cot and threw himself at my head in a huge I Love You kind of hug!! It was just what I needed at that moment. He always seems to know when I am seriously hug-deficient and fixes that quickly.
Now he is on my pillow keeping an eye on me . . as he should with a sick grandma in the apartment! π
I did mention that I might want to lay back down.
*He looked at me out of the corner of his eye then repositioned himself on my pillow*
Hmm . . so I asked again about me laying down . .
* π really, here??*
So I asked if I should find a way to be comfy on the area to his left and patted that 4″ of space on the cot frame.
*looks relieved I finally got a clue then naps*
Okay, so we know who’s in charge here!! π±
Wondering when the sea salt flush is going to kick in . . hopefully before I leave for work at 4:30pm-ish!! This flush is supposed to completely clean your colon . I’m thinking intestines too. My understanding is that we never completely clear our colons so have a lifetime of “debris” hung up in there . . all sorts of vile little toxins that I’m attempting to evict.
One thing I can say about the sea salt flush is don’t do it when there is a chance there is any food in your stomach. It won’t work. And the 32 oz of salt water will sit inside you until your body is finally able to process it out.
I’ll update on this later.
For now, I need to pray a while . . and contemplate my pillow
