This was what I read for my Bible study last night. It was brought home more/reiterated this morning in Meisha’s teachings at church. And then I saw Julius again on the street corner. I had stopped last Sunday on my way to the same client I have tonight. I saw him and realized I had more than ample time to minister to him a bit. And as I turned around to go back to him I also saw another homeless man, Milton.
Today I was able to again speak to Julius. I had a bit of change I could give him. .. mostly pennies I’ve found as I walk that get tossed into the pocket in my car door.
Yes, Julius was grateful for the loose change. . .
But, more than that . .
He was so so happy to see me again, “You’re the one who gave me the bag!!”, with such a huge grin on his face.
I reminded him gently, “call the men’s home. . give it a try for one night . . give Pastor Kenny a call!”
I received such a blessing in, “I just might”, with a sincere grin. . . a grin born in knowing there is a place where the love of God will surround him as soon as he’s willing to head the calling.
And I drive away . . still praying for Julius and Milton. . I’ll be praying till I see them sitting with the men’s home.
🙏Will you pray too? 🙏
