๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ Celeste Post-Apocalyptia pt 10 ~ Post- EMP Life

After the EMP there were a few industrious souls who had planned ahead and owned hot air balloons. Soon they were soaring high above their stranded neighbors!! They relaxed above their stranded neighbors. Celeste watched and thought if a quote by Ricky Gervais she’d read, “Relax. No one else knows what they are doing either.” It sure became real as those in the ground shit at the only transport available and brought down many balloons!!

As food grew more and more scarce those capable of gardening set up roadside stands in the hopes of sales or barter. Many lost their lives to the mistake of advertising their fields if fresh food.

Celeste learned early that it was smart to either barter it simply take what she needed in the middle of the night. Not a choice she liked but a necessity.

  1. Thanks for joining along with Writers Quotes Wednesdays Writing Challenge. There’s a lot to think about here. Don’t forget next time to also include a quote. It doesn’t have to be part of your story, just some part of your posts. Have a great week. Hope to see you again soon. ๐Ÿ™‚ Marsha

    1. Um, ok… I, um included this in my post… ! They relaxed above their stranded neighbors. Celeste watched and thought if a quote by Ricky Gervais sheโ€™d read, โ€œRelax. No one else knows why they are doing either.โ€

      1. I must have missed it, my friend. It read like a great narrative, with a quote. My characters talk all the time, so I have so many quote marks. I usually set apart the quote I’m using as inspiration apart from the writing using the WordPress ” block. Forgive me if I missed your quote. :) Thanks again for taking part. It helps me when we chat about it.

    2. Did it need to be a famous quote?

      1. It doesnโ€™t have to be famous โ€“ anyone other than yourself. It could be another blogger, your mother, a stranger you overheard at the grocery. The easiest to find though, are famous quotes. I use Brainy Quotes and Good Reads a lot.

      1. You did fine. Next time just include a quote about the topic. I Google “quotes about…(the word). If that doesn’t work, I try a synonym. But usually I get so many quotes. I pick one or two and then write something. Sometimes I find a song even. It’s a lot of fun. Thanks for joining in.
