A Surprise Blessing . .

Hey there!

Welcome back to our humble homestead . . I’m so glad you’ve stopped by and hope you can linger here over a cup of coffee and some Bible study . . we can share our journeys and grow together.

I want to share with you what happened last week. Saturday I went to set up my tithes and other offerings for church and God put in my heart to pay off my entire pledge to our baby church even though that would mean I would be short for paying bills. Obediently I payed my tithes and that pledge (a love offering if ever there was one!πŸ™πŸ’™πŸ™) then gave Matt money to pay tithes on his little $87.50 SSA check. That left me with lunch money for Matt and gas money to get to work. But, for a nice change, I wasn’t worried, stressed, shaking, nauseas. I knew God was watching over us. He would provide and my bills would be okay till my next payday.

Then, on Monday, I felt a prompting from God. We really needed a nice popcorn machine for our church’s street rallies. We needed to have the aroma of popcorn draw out souls so we could minister to them and just show them His love. I’d been looking on Craigslist for a nice popper for free with no luck πŸ˜’ But . . . in the spring Matt and I had earned $50 in Amazon gift cards from our participation in Spark for Autism! I had stashed away this bit of money. . . so I began to search Amazon for a nice popcorn machine. There are soo many on there. And many big pretty ones . . floor models . . oh, how I wanted one of those. But . . God humbled me. We needed a popper but huge and fancy was not a necessity. Big enough, functional, fairly reliable. That was what we really needed. And to be grateful for what we could afford. So I looked again . . and found a really nice countertop model that was “used” and in good condition!! Yea!! πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ

I ordered it and that left less than a dollar on those cards.

πŸ™ It opened a door to reach more souls. πŸ™

That’s what counts.

Then . . a few days later, I got a text that SSA had, in.the.middle.of.the.month, deposited $244.70 into my SSA checking account!! That’s about twice what we invested in His Kingdom the week before!!!

Now, we didn’t invest looking to gain financially. We invested because there are so many souls out there lost. . . it’s heartbreaking the number of souls with broken hearts and broken lives on street corners, in homeless camps, etc . . we did it for them . . for Him . . and He turned around and opened doors for us . . so we can do more for Him . .

Yes, we are blessed so we can bless others. πŸ™πŸ’™πŸ™Œ
